Each of them refers to a commandment, but there isn\u2019t any religious reference and no judgment occurs. Most of the main characters are teenagers, who live lonely lives. In first person, using a direct and realistic language, they tell the events they are involved in, without any form of pietism. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTen\u201d has been defined <em>\u201ca cross-section of real life, more realistic than a journalistic investigation.\u201d<br\/><\/em>Even though it was written 17 years ago, the book makes the reader breathe the atmosphere that is nowadays in some areas in Naples. This means that the changings occurred in Naples have not come to its suburbs yet and, furthermore, it means that Longo\u2019s stories are universal.
